When we look at the random read performance of the M6e, there is a clear indication that as the volume of the drive fills up the speed at which data is read drops considerably with speeds of around 50MB/s less. We can also see that this affects the drive a little more as the NAND gets more and more worn over time.
Doesn’t the drive activity light work in conjunction with the cases’ light? Having to to be a contortionist to see the status of the drive can be a pain in the neck. (Pun not intended).
The system’s drive activity LED does indeed work in conjunction to the LEDs on the back of the drive. I do apologise for leaving out this bit of information and have now added it into the review for reference.
