Promised for the summer, Portal 2 downloadable content was eagerly anticipated by its many fans, and rather disappointed when not released during the period promised, yet a new release date has been announced, and this could be it.
Called Portal 2: Peer Review will see itself released to the world on October 4 for PC (through Steam), PS3 as well as Xbox 360.
The content is not entirely known, although what we know so far is that content for both solo and an co-op campaign will be included. One of the most interesting is the story of P-Body and Atlas, with the two co-op robots continuing their adventure through Peer Review; “as you puzzle your way through a mysterious new co-op test track and once again match wits with GLaDOS.”
A new challenge mode will also be incorporated, both for solo and co-op including a leaderboard to go against the other competitors.
Not only do you get a consistent release date this time, but the best part about it is that the DLC will be free!
In addition to this, the three soundtrack volumes of the game have been released and are available for free download, this includes ringtones for both Android and iPhone. All can be downloaded here.
Already a hit, Portal 2 has made the fans very happy, so should the DLC.
