Portal 2 “Peer Review” PC Review

Now, considering that Peer Review is indeed a free DLC, There’s not really a lot you could complain about. If you don’t like the additions, you can simply ignore and never use them as they’re all completely optional. You didn’t pay a penny towards it and will never have to. Personally I find that’s a good thing, as this DLC is rather small and would have potentially started an uproar against Valve for charging for it. Although rather small, there’s still enough content in there that other companies may have charged you for it. So be thankful.
Not knowing the plans that Valve hold for the future, I’d love to see something like Portal had – advanced test chambers where things have been scrambled around to make you think that little bit more. I also have no idea when, or even if they’re releasing an SDK so we’re able to generate our own custom levels. This I’d love. The calibre of maps made by fans can be amazing, who knows what they’d do with Portal 2..
Usually by this stage I’d be summarising whether you should buy this or not, but seen as you can’t on it’s own… If you don’t already own it, go buy Portal 2 instead. I guarantee you’ll enjoy the Co-op side of things even if you don’t like the single player. If played steadily with a friend, the Co-op in total could potentially take you up to 10 hours to complete. Well worth your hard earned lolly.
