Very little information has been shared surrounding Intel’s Battlemage second generation of GPUs but today two of these upcoming GPUs have been seen on the SiSoftware Sandra website.
The Intel Battlemage Xe2-HPG GPUs were spotted by Twitter user @miktdt (Via wccftech) at the sisoftware website. It involved two GPUs with 20 and 24 Xe-cores, 160 and 192 Vector Engines and 2560 and 3072 ALUs respectively. Both cards also featured 12GB of memory, a total of 8MB of L2 cache and clock speeds of 1.8 GHz meaning we could easily see 2.0 GHz on the launch versions of these cards.
Battlemage itself is expected to arrive later this year based upon comments from Tom Petersen (Via TechPowerUp) who in an interview stated “I’d say about 30% of our engineers are working on Battlemage, mostly on the software side because our hardware team is on the next thing (Celestial)…Battlemage has already has its first silicon in the labs which is very exciting and there’s more good news coming which I can’t talk about right now.” and also said he’d like to see battlemage arrive before CES 2025.
