Some information surrounding the rumoured PS5 refresh named the PS5 Pro has been revealed under the codename “Project Trinity”.
Information surrounding this new PS5 refresh was shared by keytogaming.com which has received information from an anonymous source that says the PS5 Pro under the name Project Trinity is in development and has been since early 2022. This refresh has also supposedly had some specs leaked with the console to feature a 30 WGP and 18000mts memory with the goal of improved and more consistent 4K performance. A release date for this console has also been shared with the target of a November 2024 release just in time for Christmas.
Trinity comes in an opposite position to Xbox who in an interview with Digital Foundry, already considers their X/S series consoles to be the normal and pro variants with no need to do a refresh later on down the line and will likely hold out until 2027-8 when we will see the next generation of consoles.
