Straight from TUL Corporation comes a new version of the HD 7970 with the PowerColor HD 7970.
Sporting an exclusive cooling solution, a reduction in temperature of 10% is achieved through the use of two 92mm fans and a unique SSU-shape heat pipe design, dissipating the heat efficiently while reducing the noise level by 15% compared to the reference design.
Specifications wise, it is clocked at 925 MHz at the core while the 3GB of GDDR5 memory is clocked at 1375 MHz. Supporting the latest PCI-Express 3.0 and DirectX 11.1 technologies, the added support for up to six displays in Eyefinity will make for an unforgettable experience.
This latest product also makes use of the AMD PowerTune technology to enable higher clockspeeds through unused TDP headroom, delivering the best power efficiency. With the support of AMD APP Acceleration, it also creates a “co-processing” environment of GPU and CPU, speeding up the everyday applications.
