Overclocking and Overclocked Performance

Due to the R9 390X being based off the same core architecture are the R9 290X, it is limited in terms of overclocking potential. From the factory, the R9 390X is pretty much at full capacity in terms of clock speed.

The DEVIL R9 390X had a great factory overclock of 1100MHz and I was only able to push that to 1183MHz. The memory clock speed was given a slightly better boost to 6500MHz effective.

The mild overclock didn’t really give much in the way of tangible performance, with barely 5% increase overall.
