A Closer Look
First impressions of the new PowerColor card are that it looks like many of their older cards. That’s fine though, they have a really great design going on with their range right now, so while spoil that! What really matters is that it looks stylish, we know it performs great, and that dual fan design should be more than enough to tame this chipset.
Tucked into the corner, a black dragon decal.
There’s a red on on the rear fan.
Plus a PowerColor logo on the front fan.
Towards the back of the card, you can see the five heat pipe design which runs through the split radiators under the shroud.
The card isn’t particularly power hungry, so it’ll only require an 8-pin header from your PSU.
Around the back of the card, you’ll see the “ventilation” is mostly for show, as it’s half blocked off by the shroud. The card exhausts in all directions like all other non-blower cards anyway. What you do get here, however, are four display outputs; HDMI x 1 and DP x 3.
Finally, the rear of the card features a stunning brushed aluminium black backplate. There’s a nice Red Dragon logo here too, complimenting the white PowerColor logo down the side.
