Last week, we reported on PowerColor’s forthcoming custom RX Vega 64. Now, not only are we a step closer to its release, but we also know the card is factory overclocked. The PowerColor RX Vega 64 Red Devil is a 2.5-slot card with three fans and three BIOSes. In addition, it sports a snazzy Red Devil LED logo on its flank.
Though the Red Devil RX Vega 64 appears to be the fastest factory overclocked air-cooled Vega, it fails to match AMD’s liquid- cooled reference version. Liquid cooling, of course, trumps air cooling, but the Vega 64’s triple-fan cooled custom card still achieves a respectable 1607MHz, versus the reference liquid-cooled’s 1677MHz.
But, as the fastest custom air-cooled card, how does the RX Vega 64 Red Devil stack up against AMD’s Liquid-Cooled reference card?
The PowerColor RX Vega 64 Red Devil is available for pre-order at Overclockers UK, priced £589.99; plus, while you’re there, check out OCUK’s mega Black Friday sale – including great deals on Ryzen CPUs and gaming PCS – which we detail here and here. Release date is as yet unknown, but the card is expected early next month, according to VideoCardz.
