With the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT and 7900 XTX set to officially release on December 13th, while Team Red’s own reference designs already look pretty fantastic (in terms of both performance and aesthetics), they’ll clearly also be custom AIB models vying for our attention as well. – So far, however, very few have appeared online yet and certainly little (if anything at all) through official channels.
Following an official Twitter post by PowerColor (Japan), however, they have officially published an image of what will be their Radeon RX 7900 HellHound series of graphics cards.
Translating the kanji courtesy of Google, PowerColor says (somewhat cryptically):
“A Hellhound is born with fur as tough as armor and claws as sharp as a razor. Its eyes burn in the dark and track prey with precision.
It was once a fighting dog owned by a hero. But your bravery didn’t go unnoticed by the Red Devil, and it gave you an opportunity to become Hell’s Keeper.”
An interesting point is that this will represent the first time that PowerColor has ever utilised its HellHound branding for an apparent top-spec GPU. In fact, the HellHound branding/design is not, in fact, a particularly prominent one with them typically utilising their far more recognisable ‘Red Devil’ name a lot heavier. – Following this post, however, it may suggest that HellHound will represent their top-tier offering from the AMD 7900 series. And, from what we can see, a design that certainly looks pretty slick.
As noted above though, with the official Radeon 7900 XT and 7900 XTX set for release on December 13th, expect to hear and see a lot more from custom partners over the coming weeks!
