The P240 card reader comes in a simple, yet colourful, blister pack with the reader itself on show at the bottom. To either side of the product, there is a full list of every media type that is supported, and at the top of the pack is a large image to show this is a USB3.0 compatible device.
Turning the pack over, at the top there is listed in a number of languages, a blurb that states that this is a USB3.0 reader that supports SDXC and other major memory card formats for SuperSpeed data transfer. Below this there is a list of features and an image showing the detachable USB3.0 connector, how it stows away in the underside and also that it has a two year warranty attached. We do also note that a sticker has been placed below the features list noting that M2 and microSD cards should not be inserted at the same time.
Taking the reader out of the pack, the USB3.0 connector simple pulls out from the underside and can then be connected to the USB3.0 connector on the end of the reader.
On one side of the reader we find the largest of the card formats CompactFlash, with both type I and II cards supported. To the top right of the upper face, is a blue LED which shows status/activity.
On the opposite side to the CF port, we find four more slots that take a variety of card formats including SDXC, MMC, M2, MSXC and microSD amongst others.
