Pro Gamersware @ Computex 2024

Computex 2024:

It’s fair that some of you may not know who Pro GamersWare (PGW), but they’re a sort of catch-all brand for CaseKing that works with a vast number of the brands that they sell. This includes the likes of Endgame Gear, Ducky, HAVN, Streamplify, Nitro Concepts, Thunder X3, noblechairs, and APNX… deep breath. So yeah, that’s a lot of stuff, and with each sub-brand having something to show at Computex, we best get started!

Endgame Gear has a few new gaming mice, frustratingly under glass that made them hard to photo, but we’ll power through.

The new OP 4K and 8K mice look fantastic, and honestly, if they’re an upgrade of the old models (they are), then these should be utterly fantastic, as the old models are some of the best eSports mice around!

My money would go on the OP1 8K Purple Frost, it’s a limited edition, but well equipped, and ya know, it’s purple, and I just love how it looks!

It’s not a complex mouse, but for competitive gaming, that’s what you really want!

Next up we have Ducky, and with a world first, as they have the first keyboard featuring a whole new type of switches!

The new Inductive Switches are contactless, meaning they have a longer life span and durability. However, while they’re said to be as good as the current flagship Hall Effect switches, they come with significantly reduced power draw, meaning it opens up the best switch types to wireless keyboard designs.

The switch is fully analogue, meaning that you can fully customise the actuation point via software, and I suspect we’ll see similar switch rolling out through all the major brands in the coming months.

The Ducky OneX will come in both full size and 60% layouts, and hopefully, we can get one in for testing in the near future!

HAVN are the next to join the single piece of glass dual window aesthetic this year, with the HS 420 VGPU case, and while it’s been done by other brands, this is by far one of the cleanest implementations of this idea at the show. I love the way the case is ultra clean and minimalist around the glass, with massive airflow at the bottom for that angled fan mount instead of a PSU shroud.

It’ll support 420mm radiators, and comes with a PCIe 5.0 riser cable, so you can show off your cooling hardware and your GPU through that amazing looking window. Plus, there’s huge airflow on the back, so side mounted cooling, your PSU and other components can breath easily despite there being so much glass.

Even the back of the case looks utterly gorgeous, and if this is as good as it looks, it’ll likely be my new PC case in the coming months!

Here’s one built up, showcasing that lovely Sapphire GPU, and an optional display mount allowing you to throw a surprisingly large LCD panel into the case!

Streamplify has updated their range for 2024 and beyond too. The whole setup looks great, but lets dive into each component.

The new Cam Pro features 4K 30FPS streaming, and features a built-in anti-spy shutter, 5x zoom, and a 105 degree viewing angle with no distortion.

The Mic Pro, with 192kHz/24bit recording, 4 polar patterns, noise reduction, and real time monitoring via a 3.5mm jack.

The latest Capture 4K which can do 4K30 capture and 4K60 passthrough with 24 bit audio and sub 100ms latency.

And the new Cam Duo, a 4K60 webcam that can double as an action cam, making it great for gamers, but also travel blogging and sports!

The new Mic Go is a an add-on microphone, with 15 meters of range, a 4.5 hour batter and stereo sound recording.

Nitro Concepts are the latest to enter the racing rig market, with a frame and seat that they say will cost around £299, which is incredibly value. It has a built in fan too, so if you have a game with telemetry, you can get the wind in your hair.

But it was this one that really caught my eye, it’s going to be properly cheap, but you need to supply your own chair. As you can see, it supports normal gaming chairs, with a bolt on kit, you replace the gas-lift and legs of your gaming chair and fit it to the rails of the rig.

Thunder X3 always seem to have a better hold on ergonomics than the bigger brand names. This chair is utterly bonkers, with more flexibility and movable features than I’ve seen on any other chair ever.

The arms rotate 360 degree at their base and the top, they tilt forwards, back, pivot, roll, and more.

You can put them in damn near any position your can think of.

Side ways? Sure, why not.

It’s the same with the seat base, it tilts, leans, slides, the back rest flows with your spine, the head reast all adjusts. It’s an ergonomic puzzle but extremely comfortable and it looks fantastic too.

noblechairs has a few new designs, which are already available to buy, but it was these Star Wars cushions that I fell in love with. You can add them to your existing noblechair too.

There’s even a little pocket on the Mandalorian one that you can store a teddy in, if you wanted to.

And these flappy ears are so cute!

…and make my look cute.

Store them together for double the fun.

Finally we have the APNX V1, a stunning dual chamber mid-tower case with a dual-window pillarless design on the side, giving you great views of the interior.

There’s massive amounts of ventilation, with bottom, front angle, top and read fan and radiator support.

It’s a pretty big case, so the largest graphics card will fit with ease, as will ATX motherboards, but no BTF support here, which is a shame.

On the front angle, you can see it has a stunning wood effect, as well as ARGB fans in the front and rear of the case.

And even cooler, the rear of the case has a hinged storage cage, simply swing it out, install your drives, them close it and it covers up all your cable gore too.
