Project Cars 2 Confirmed to Only Run 4K 60FPS on PC not Xbox One X

Ian Bell, CEO of Slightly Mad Studios who developed Project Cars 2 confirms what many PC gamers know already. That the game will run at 4K 60FPS only on the PC. Microsoft has been touting Project Cars 2 as the game that showcases Xbox One X’s hardware, but it simply cannot run the game on that level. Slightly Mad Studios themselves targets 60fps, although admittedly, they don’t want to use the term ‘locked’. On consoles however, they will be pushing the hardware beyond their limits and this could mean “dropping a few frames” according to Bell.
60FPS 4K Expectation Attributed to Misquote
Many gaming hopefuls have been hearing about the 60FPS and 4K resolution for a while. Slightly Mad Studios is even the source for the 4K/60fps expectation from an earlier interview. Ian Bell however, classifies this as a “misquote” via the GTPlanet forums. He commented on a fan stating how glad they are that the studio is able to put out those framerates, stating that this is the first time he is hearing it.
Ian Bell further states that they are running at sub-60fps at 4K, unless they drop livetrack and a host of other features. The PC is capable of 4K UHD at 60fps, although that would still require a lot of powerful hardware as well.
