Prolimatech Vortex Fan Reviews

The Prolimatech Vortex Aluminium series 140mm fan we have is unique in that it is one of very few fans to use metal blades. This basically means no more sticking your fingers into a fan for the “lolz” because it will probably end up in bleeding fingers.
The back reveals the specifications and we can see it has a two ball bearing motor design and very high CFM levels.
Included are four fan screws, a pair of low noise adapters for 900/1200RPM and a molex adapter for 12 volts or 900/1200RPM when used in tandem with those low noise adapters.
The provided fan grille can be removed and is affixed with just four fan screws.
With it removed you can see that we have fully aluminium fan blades. These look really quite striking and it is certainly a unique look.
With the fan grille fitted it looks quite industrial and I think I prefer it with the fan grille off.
The back has unsleeved cables, my pet hate but the build quality is top notch.
You can see four additional cables running down the frame and these supply the red LEDs with light.
The thickness is a standard 25mm.
The LEDs are actually pretty week and I would have liked to see something a bit more potent. There is also no on/off function for them as far as I can tell.
