PS4 Mod Support Delayed – PC Still Best Place for Fallout 4

Not too long ago, Bethesda enabled official Fallout 4 mod support for the Xbox One version of the game, and even though PlayStation 4 users were supposed to receive the same treatment, it looks like mod support for this particular platform has been delayed. Interestingly enough, modding was delayed indefinitely and for unknown reasons, which means that Bethesda is experiencing some serious issues when trying to implement this feature on the PS4. Not too long ago, PS4 owners were able to test various mods as part of the project’s beta phase, but Bethesda revealed that these mods won’t become available anytime soon via a Tweet.
We regret to say that the PS4 Mods Beta for Fallout 4 has been delayed. We will update everyone when we can.

Some of the issues that could be causing the delay might include the limited mod storage of only 900 MB that Sony put in place on the PS4, not to mention various memory and performance issues. The Xbox One has 2GB of space assigned specifically for mods, but maybe the PC and Xbox One version of the game had other similarities that allowed developers to push mod support sooner. It’s worth pointing out that Bethesda has assigned a team to work with Sony in order to fix these issues, and we’ll definitely keep you updated on their progress as we find out more.
