Exciting news for mobile gamers! The popular survival game Palworld, developed by Japanese studio Pocketpair, is heading to mobile platforms. Krafton, the parent company of PUBG Studios, has officially signed a licensing agreement with Pocketpair to make this happen. Fans of both PUBG and Palworld are in for a treat, as this new version will be handled by the developers responsible for PUBG Mobile.
Palworld’s Mobile Journey Begins
In a recent announcement, Krafton revealed that the mobile port of Palworld will aim to faithfully “reinterpret and implement the original’s fun elements” for the mobile experience. While it remains unclear whether the mobile version will be an exact replica of the console and PC versions or feature new elements, what is certain is that the mobile team from PUBG Studios will be leading the project. This ensures that Palworld will be in capable hands as it makes its debut on mobile devices.
The mobile port is part of Palworld’s ongoing expansion, which follows its recent release on the PlayStation 5. However, Pocketpair is currently facing legal challenges, as both Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have filed lawsuits against the developer, alleging patent infringement related to similarities between Palworld and the Pokémon franchise. Despite these legal issues, Krafton’s collaboration with Pocketpair shows confidence in the game’s future on mobile platforms.
