QNAP TS-453 Mini NAS Review
Directory Copy To NAS
In the directory copy to NAS test, a directory tree representing that of a typical commercially available office suite is copied to the NAS to trace the bulk copy of a complex directory. A total of 2833 files making up 247 MB are moved, but the file sizes vary considerably with an average size of 41.4 kB. Due to the varying sizes of the files, only around 50% of the writes are sequential.
This is a really great NAS review guys, in fact I would say that it is probably the best I have read on the net so far, and equally rivals and exceeds the top sites for detail. I will bookmark this site for future reviews, and you have pretty much convinced me to buy this NAS over the TS-453 Pro. 🙂
I must also point out that you say in your “Pro’s” list that this NAS is dual-core, when it is in fact quad-core. This needs correcting.
However you really need to update the pricing for the US, as the ones you link to on Amazon for $1500+ are simply ridiculous and it can be had for less than 600USD. I hope that for ethical reasons you have no personal ties or interest with the sellers charging the outrageous prices that you quoted.
