Packaging
The TS-462 comes boxed in a very simple cardboard box which keeps costs down and makes it easier to recycle. A sticker has been used to tell us about the TS-462 that sits inside. The sticker showcases the Dual-Core Intel Celeron N4505 processor which is capable of speeds of up to 2.9GHz. It also showcases the 2x M.2 Gen 3 slots for greater NAS performance and a PCIe Gen 3 x2 expansion slot to expand functionality with more M.2 storage, 10 GbE Network Expansion cards, or other interface expansion cards which QNAP offers on their store. The 2.5GbE RJ45 port is also mentioned as well as Snapshot Protection to keep your data safe with backups.
The packaging inside is nice and compact with the NAS itself surrounded by protective polystyrene and all of the accessories slotted along the side within plastic bags.
The accessories include the installation guide and warranty information which is 2 years as standard with a separate extended warranty of 5 years. The NAS is powered by the included 90W power brick and a region specific power cord. There is also an included Ethernet cable and a collection of screws for both 3.5″ drives and 2.5″ drives.
