QNAP TS879-Pro 8-Bay NAS Review

This test quite simply put copies a single large file from the test system to the NAS box to show how well the system can sustain a single write speed. The 1.4GB file is copied to the drive and written in 64kB blocks.
Alongside HD Video Record, File Copy to NAS is the other key test that we watch closely for pure speed across the network. Like we saw before, the 879Pro does have what it take with its i3 processor to deliver large amounts of data in heavy quantities to the network when the going gets tough. The other thing we see again is that like the video record test, RAID0 is again not the fastest array her with RAID5 managing to push the throughput to the limit at 136MB/s
