be quiet! is announcing the official launch of their new SFX L form factor power supply units. These compact PSUs are ideal for mini-ITX builds with its small size and fully modular cabling. It is available in 500W and 600W capacities, boasting the silent performance that be quiet! products are known for.
Just how big are SFX L power supplies? The be quiet! SFX L units specifically measure 64 x 125 x 130mm. They also come conveniently with an ATX adapter so it can be readily used even inside non-SFX cases.
Both be quiet! SFX L power supplies are 80-Plus Gold certified. It features a zero load design, supporting Intel’s Deep Power Down C6/C7 mode. Moreover, these SFX L units meet Energy Star 6.0 guidelines and fulfills ErP guidelines. Despite the compact size, it supports up to four PCIe video card connectors for multi-GPU use.
A single 120mm SilentWings fan keeps all internal components thermally healthy. This is a sleeve bearing fan that only registers up to 28.5dBA at full load (~1350 RPM). Under 50% load, it barely registers any noticeable sound at only 14dBA. High-quality Japanese capacitors are used for longer life of course, and for efficiency. The more efficient the power supply is, the less cooling requirement it needs. Thus, the included fan does not even need to operate at high speeds, keeping a quiet operation.
