Pricing
The Raijintek Aeneas is available from Overclockers UK for just £52.99 and most other retailers for around £60. This is very good value for money given the specifications and overall quality. The chassis is available in black, white and both window and none windowed editions. Having four high-quality fans pre-installed makes this incredible value for money, as Raijintek fans of this spec are around £7 each when bought separately.
Overview
I really like this chassis, although it’s pretty hard not to like it as it’s clear that Raijintek has put a lot of thought into its design. The front and top panel design is really nice, it’s got a bit of flair that will no doubt appeal to the gaming market, but it also manages to be smart and stylish, so it wouldn’t look out of place in the office. The huge side panel window offers a fantastic view of the interior of the chassis, great for showing off your GPUs. Of course, if you’re not interested in seeing your systems interior, you could always pick up the none-window edition.
Build quality is very robust. When removing the side panels, there is a good amount of weight to them and even the window panel doesn’t flex in your hand; there’s no chance of them rattling or buzzing any time soon. The strong frame of the chassis is very reassuring, as it’ll have no issues dealing with the weight of a custom water cooling loop, while also holding up to a few knocks and bumps; good news for those who travel to a lot of LAN gaming events.
The price of the chassis is low enough to appeal to the budget end of the market, you could quite happily afford this for a low-to-mid budget build, but the specification is appealing enough to entice the enthusiast market. If you want to chuck a cheap system in here, it’ll still look great, but if you’ve got deep pockets, you could fit this out with a multi-GPU setup, multiple radiators and it would look absolutely incredible.
