Raijintek Metis Plus Aluminium Mini-ITX Chassis Review

A Closer Look – Exterior

The Metis Plus uses an inverted mini-ITX mount. From the left side, you’ll just find some passive ventilation that sits behind the motherboard. Immediately, we can appreciate that lovely brushed aluminium finish, and while the colour choices are great, the silver finish looks slick and professional.

Down the right side, you’ll find another screw-on metal side panel, with a large side panel window. The window is plastic, but it’s nice and thick and crystal clear, giving you a great view of the chassis interior.

The front panel is very nicely finished, with polished edges that give it a sleek and professional finish. There’s a nicely designed power switch near the top, and a subtle Raijintek “R” logo at the bottom, but otherwise, it’s pretty clean looking.

Around the back, you’ll find a 120mm fan mount, with one of Raijintek’s own fans pre-installed. There’s a pass-through port at the top for the PSU, which mounts towards the front of the chassis, and two expansion slots, meaning you’ll be able to fit most modern graphics cards with ease.

Up top, a large ventilation section, which should be more than perfect for feeding your graphics card with clean air. The front I/O panel is pretty small, but with dual USB 3.0 ports, and HD audio jacks, it’s got everything you’re likely to need.

As you can see, the PSU mounts at the front of the chassis, with its rear exhaust facing the ground. There are four hard rubber feet, giving it good ground clearance, and a few extra HDD/SSD mounts too, so you can screw your drives right into the base of the chassis.
