Raijintek has been teasing their Orcus AIO liquid CPU cooler for a while. In fact, we saw them as early as Computex 2017 last year. Unlike other all-in-one units, the Orcus does not have the pump on the block. Instead, it is attached on one of the hoses. Although the block itself has a flow meter with an RGB LED-lit window.
Despite the changes, it is still an all-in-one unit that is self-contained. That means there is zero maintenance necessary from the user after installation. With the exception of clearing out the dust once in a while of course. Since the fans intake or push out air into the radiator, dust can build up there over time. This would prevent it from operating optimally so a regular clean up of that part is needed.
The Orcus is available with a 2x120mm (240mm) radiator that measures 120 x 27 x 272 mm. The 35mm long hose actually has a braided cover unlike the early prototypes at Computex.
The pump has a Ceramic bearing and has a maximum flow-rate of 66 Litre/h. Despite this, Raijintek claims it only operates up to 25dBA so it is relatively quiet enough.
Compatibility includes Intel Socket 775, 1150, 1155, 1156, 1366, 2011, 2066 as well as support for AMD boards e.g. AM2(+), AM3(+), AM4 and FM2(+).
The Raijintek Orcus is now available via Overclockers.co.uk for £79.99 for the Core Edition. This version does not come with fans. There is also the regular version which costs £99.95 and comes with two 120mm Raijintek Iris RGB LED fans.
