Rain With a Chance of Nagware as Windows 10 Storms TV Broadcast

Microsoft has said many times that they’re not pushing the updates for Windows 10 onto people, but we’ve seen it time and time again, people waking up to see their system doing its own thing and updating without consent. Of course, there are many other problems with the upgrade system, such as how it can interfere with day-to-day work for many users. If you’re in the middle of work, such as a live weather forecast for example, the last thing you need at that moment is a huge popup telling you it’s time to upgrade. The only thing you’re concerned about upgrading at the moment is the big storm that’s sitting over the state.

The nagging popup for the Windows 10 upgrade interrupted the US news stations broadcast as Slater was talking their viewers through current thunderstorms in Iowa. Fortunately, Slater was a pro and managed to carry on quite well for KCCI 8 News, sarcastically stating “Microsoft recommends upgrading to Windows 10. Gosh, what should I do?”

Microsoft isn’t winning any fans with their pushy updates, but it’s a problem that’s not going to go away anytime soon. While the news broadcast can be brushed off with a bit of a giggle, not every situation could be so forgiving, especially for those who have found the update automatically installing and rebooting your system, which could be a nightmare on network critical systems.

Have you had any issues with Windows 10 upgrade or has it been smooth sailing for you so far? Let us know in the comments section below.
