Ubisoft is offering a free weekend event for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege starting February 15. It is actually more than just a weekend as it starts on a Thursday and ends on a Tuesday. Specifically, it starts at February 15, 2018 9:45AM EST until February 20, 2018 9:45PM EST. This will allow those interested in trying it out a few more days to play than usual.
The game is enjoying a sudden resurgence in popularity and has exceeded the 25M player mark back in December. Despite the fact that the game is now in its third year of service, it proves that developers can keep franchises alive if done properly. Rather than the Call of Duty or Assassin’s Creed Style yearly release.
The Free Weekend promo is also an olive branch of sorts after angering fans with their recent price increase. Ubisoft has since rolled back the prices and reinstated the standard edition.
Furthermore, as with almost every Free Weekend promo, the Standard Edition is available currently for up to 50% off. This discount holds true across all platforms, digital or physical. Although the catch is that it will only last until February 12, and the discount only applies on PC for the digital copy.
