The Aeolus α fan that comes bundled with the Ereboss is just 13mm thick and 140mm wide, yet its mounting holes still allow it to be fitted to 120mm fixtures. As you can see it is finished in a red and while, with a high quality braiding on the 4-pin PWM cable.
The cooler uses a stacked fin design that will happily operate as a passive CPU cooler under the right conditions. There are six copper base heat pipes in total (U-shaped).
The top of the cooler features four holes, one in each corner. These holes are used for mounting the rubber fan pegs that we saw included with the components. There is a cut-away section in the top that runs all the way through the cooler, this is used to slot your screw driver down so that you can attached the heat sink to the CPU block.
The heat pipes are packed pretty tight on the base of the cooler, this should hopefully give a nice even heat transfer from the CPU.
The fins have waved edges on the two sides that can support fans, this increases their surface area and should also improve airflow. The fins are super lightweight and can easily be bent by hand, so extra care is needed no to damage them. The fins are mounted to the heat pipes with a solder-less assembly.
