Epic Games Ransomware Attack
As reported by Eurogamer, Ransomware group Mogilevich has alleged that they have acquired almost 200GB of data from Epic Games which may include “email, passwords, full name, payment information, source code and many other data” but there is no mention of whether this is customer data or employee data. The group, as with any ransomware attack, want money from the company and LawrenceAbrams has claimed that the group are going to sell the data for $15k.
Epic Games gave a statement to Eurogamer which states: “We are investigating but there is currently zero evidence that these claims are legitimate,” so right now the only evidence is a photo from a darkweb webpage from a tweet.
