Razer Announces Tartarus V2 Gaming Keypad Controller

Gaming product manufacturer Razer is on a product release binge recently, announcing their first phone as well as several new peripherals. While not a full keyboard, their new Tartarus V2 gaming keypad gives players a compact input device which goes well with a mouse on the other hand. This is basically a membrane version of their Orbweaver Chroma gaming keypad. Instead of using regular rubber dome membrane however, Razer opts for a tactile feeling mecha-membrane hybrid switch. Each key actuates at mid-height so that the input is faster than a regular rubber dome keypad.
Tartarus V2: 32 Keys and a Thumbpad
Aside from the mecha-membrane keys, there is also an 8-way directional thumbpad as well as a scroll-wheel. This enables users to have a single left hand controller for gaming even without a mouse present on the right hand. There are 32-full programmable key options, plus full anti-ghosting and unlimited macro lengths available. There is also Chroma backlighting on the keys of course, for up to 16.8 million colors.
Gaming for hours can be bad for the hand. Which is why Razer made sure to make the Tartarus V2 comfortable as well. A large palm wrest fully supports not just the wrist, but the actual palm itself. Which means there is no strain from weight or pressure.
