Razer has rapidly become one of the most idolized brands in the peripherals market and continues to attract a very loyal following. While some users decry about product reliability, it’s evidently clear that Razer’s appeal is something many other companies can only dream of. Various products including the Deathadder, Naga and Blackwidow sell remarkably well and Razer strives to constantly improve their current line-up. The latest addition to their range is Turret Lapboard and Mouse combo package which was originally unveiled as a prototype back in early 2015.
The Razer Turret opts for an ergonomic and ultra slim form factor which aids comfort when positioned on a user’s lap. Technically, the device supports dual wireless connectivity and connects to a console or PC lag-free with the bundled wireless 2.4GHz adapter. The Razer Turret incorporates high-capacity lithium polymer batteries with enough power to last four months. This is a fantastic choice and means you don’t have to suddenly charge the keyboard during competitive gameplay. There’s also a foldable hinge which ensures the Lapboard doesn’t get in the way and can be easily docked.
Razer Co-Founder and CEO Min-Liang Tan described the Turret Lapboard and Mouse Combo’s appeal:
“The Razer Turret brings the immense world of PC gaming to a previously impossible frontier – the living room – where only consoles have traditionally roamed until now,”
“Finally, we have a perfect solution for gamers to enjoy the unrivaled precision of a mouse and keyboard combination from the comfort of the couch with the durability and reliability that PC gamers demand.”
In terms of pricing, the Turret Lapboard and Mouse Combo will retail for USD 159.99 / EUR 189.99.
