Razer Blade Pro v2 Laptop Upgrades to Kaby Lake CPU, Adds THX Certification

Razer has released the 2017 update to their Blade Pro laptop which brings Intel Core i7 7th-generation Kaby Lake CPUs and THX certification to the table. The Blade Pro v2 laptop is Razer’s flagship mobile gaming PC and aims to deliver as close to desktop performance as possible on such a compact and portable form. It sports a 17.3 inch 4K Ultra-HD G-sync touch display driven by a GeForce GTX 1080 graphics inside so it can run the latest games with ease.

The Razer Blade Pro v2 now uses an Intel Core i7-7820HK Quad-core processor with a 2.9GHz base clock which also has an overclock setting of 4.3GHz to get extra performance if the user demands it. Since it is a flagship latop, Razer has also packed 32GB of dual-channel 2667MHz DDR4 inside and provides PCIe M.2 RAID 0 options for its storage for unparalleled speed. Users can choose between a 512GB, 1TB or 2TB.  The keys are also mechanical with short-throw switches and Razer Chroma RGB LED backlighting.

The Razer Blade Pro v2 is the first laptop to ever receive a THX certification through its 3.5mm combo audio port. Users can enjoy amplified high-quality audio when a headphone is plugged in, delivering audiophile quality performance. The laptop also has built-in stereo speakers as well as array microphones so users can easily use it for two-way communication as well. For additional audio control, Razer has also bundled the Dolby Digital Plus Home Theater edition software.

All these features don’t come cheap as the Razer Blade Pro v2 carries a $4,000 price tag in the US and fetches for £3,800/€4,500 in the UK/EU.
