The Razer Panthera EVO arcade stick unveiled at EVO 2018 are finally available. According to CEO Min-Liang Tan, this next generation arcade stick “focuses on precision, consistency and best-in-class performance.”
As such, it has been developed and tested closely with actual tournament competitors and fighting game champions. This includes familiar names such as Xian Ho Kun, Mark Julio and Kenny Omega.
Underneath the hood are Razer’s own mechanical switches. These come rated for up to 30 million clicks, so it is sure to last even with constant use. The Panthera evo is also easily moddable and serviceable. So users can swap out the components to whatever parts they prefer. Whether it be sticks or buttons. By default, it uses the Vewlix 8-button layout and has a Japanese Sanwa-brand lever.
Not only is it moddable internally, users can also swap out the top panel design. It has a clear acrylic cover which easily comes off to put in an interchangeable design. Furthermore, Razer uses an improved case design over previous arcade stick models. While also adding a headphone jack for convenience.
It is now available directly via Razer’s website for $199.99 USD and is a fully licensed PS4 product. The arcade stick is of course, also compatible with PC.
