Silent and Simple, No RGB
Razer is back in market with yet another mechanical keyboard. This time however, it is a version that is a lot more subdued than previous BlackWidow variants. There are no loud RGB LED colours to distract you. This is the new BlackWidow Lite mechanical keyboard.
Although Razer has toned down some of the features, the BlackWidow Lite is nonetheless as good as their other mechanical keyboard offerings. That is because it uses the same Razer mechanical switch system that is responsive and is also typing-friendly.
The keys provide a tactile response with every press and the Orange switches are designed to be silent. At least more quiet than other mechanical switches on the market. Razer also incorporates o-rings with these Orange mechanical switches to further silence them. These switches have an 80-million keystroke lifespan, so it can take some abuse.
In terms of layout, the BlackWidow Lite uses a tenkeyless design with a low-profile body. The key caps are also floating, so it is much easier to clean and maintain than keyboards with an enclosure cover. There is also a white LED backlighting per-key, so that users can type even in the dark.
While it is useful for productivity, the BlackWidow Lite also has the gaming necessities. This includes 10KRO, anti-ghosting, and programmable on-the-fly macro recording. The USB cable is also braided and detachable so it is portable.
How Much is the BlackWidow Lite Mechanical Keyboard?
