Razer Kishi Ultra Mobile Controller Available Now

Razer is no stranger to the world of mobile gaming, having created multiple controllers, and even their own phones over the years! I’m a big fan of good quality mobile peripherals, as with Xbox, PlayStation and multiple PC-focused services now offering quality game streaming, emulation continues to boom, and while mobile gaming largely sucks, there are plenty of truly amazing titles out there now to make it a viable platform for gamers. The controller launches with the subscription-free Razer Nexus App, which will give you access to thousands of compatible games on both Android and iOS.

With the new Razer Kishi Ultra, you’ll be able to use it for gaming on Android, iPhone 15 series, and iPad Mini, which certainly sets it apart from a lot of these mobile controllers, as it can handle some much larger devices than most! The Kishi Ultra is a full-size console-class controller and typical of any other Razer controller, it features great ergonomics, haptics, and even Razer Chroma RGB for some added flair. There’s also the new Sensa HD Haptics feedback, which has an open SDK, so developers can take full advantage of this, and it’s compatible with the classic rumble features found in existing games too.

What Razer Had to Say

“With the Razer Kishi Ultra, we’re not just elevating mobile gaming; we’re transforming it,” says Nick Bourne, Head of Razer’s Mobile, Console & Streaming Division. “We’ve taken the essence of console gaming and distilled it into a form factor that works with more devices than ever before, ensuring that the ultimate gaming experience is always within reach.”

Designed to provide an authentic console experience on the iPhone 15 series, iPad Mini, and Android tablets with 8-inch displays, the Kishi Ultra is the embodiment of high-performance gaming.

Pro-Grade Controller Features for Elite Performance

Incorporating over 15 years of Razer’s expertise in crafting esports-grade console controllers, the Kishi Ultra delivers:

  • Exclusive Mecha-tactile 8-way d-pad and ABXY buttons for supreme responsiveness and comfort.
  • Console-sized Hall Effect triggers for analogue precision.
  • Full-sized pro-grade thumb sticks with anti-friction rings and a medical-grade TPSiV surface for enduring quality.
  • Programmable L4/R4 multifunction buttons for customized control setups, offering a gaming experience previously thought exclusive to PCs and consoles.

Expanded Compatibility and Seamless Play

The Kishi Ultra transcends the boundaries of mobile gaming:

  • PC and iPad Mini Compatibility: The Kishi Ultra expands its versatility beyond mobile devices, offering a direct low-latency USB-C connection to PCs or iPads, supporting haptic vibrations on PC and providing a 3.5mm audio experience. This ensures that the Kishi Ultra is not just a mobile gaming controller but a comprehensive gaming platform compatible with a wide range of devices.
  • Case Compatibility: An innovative USB C “island” design provides extra depth to ensure compatibility with most popular phone cases, including Apple’s first-party cases for the largest iPhone models, eliminating the hassle of removing the case to play.
