Razer is a giant in the technology industry and gained a cult-following which other manufacturers could only dream of emulating. The company’s stylish products tend to come with a price premium but they’re very successful and continue to sell extremely well. Recently, Razer unveiled their latest wired gaming headset dubbed the “ManO’War” which provides virtual 7.1 surround sound using 50mm custom drivers. As expected, the headset works with Razer’s Synapse software which allows the end-user to customise the audio output. On another note, the product is equipped with sound isolation technology and includes an in-line volume remote.
Razer has deployed a retractable MEMS boom microphone which should offer decent recording quality. The product’s USB digital-to-analog convertor delivers a warm, crisp sound when using a PC or Mac. If you’re intending to pair the headset with a games console, simply connect the 3.5mm standard audio jack. Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder and CEO described the new product and said:
“The Razer ManO’War 7.1 is a fantastic addition for any gamer, especially those that play on both PC and console,”
“There may not be a more versatile high-performance headset available today.”
