While Razer has plenty of PC gaming products, their latest announcement the Wolverine TE controller is for Xbox gamers. The Wolverine bears the “Tournament Edition” mark in its name as Razer says it is designed for eSports professionals. The idea is to optimize comfort and ergonomics, while adding some signature Razer features such as Chroma RGB lighting.
Razer Wolverine TE Controller Features
Unlike regular controllers, the Wolverine TE has a “Hair Trigger” mode. Wen active, the mechanical stop-switches greatly reduce travel distance on the two main triggers. This allows players to do rapid fire buttons much faster. There are also four remappable multi-function buttons available. This is adjustable via the Razer Synapse app for Xbox, so users can truly customize their experience. This software also provides access and customization for the Razer Chroma function. Various lighting effects and profiles are available and easily loadable. This includes breathing, immersive, reactive, spectrum cycling, static and wave presets.
The Razer synapse software itself for Xbox One is similar to the Windows 10 version, providing an all-in-one customization control. Users can store up to 500 custom profiles, each can be different for each game or even play style. This software also allows for motor vibration control as well as provide sensitivty clutch adjustment for the thumbsticks.
Each controller comes with a 3 meter long lightweight braided fiber cable with a Micro-USB connector terminal. There is also a 3.5mm audio port for stereo audio output and microphone input.
