Razer Naga Hex Gaming Mouse Review

What Razer have produced is a simple yet highly functional mouse, that stays true to their philosophy. The clean, fluid shape of the Naga Hex, highlighted by the metallic, liquid like coating will feel perfect in the hand of any gamer with a claw grip. The additional buttons on the thumb rest aids usability in nearly all game genres and have been adequately placed so reaction time is kept to a minimum.

During all the tests, the Hex was a pleasure to use and is by far, the most comfortable mouse that we have used to date, trumping the Elite Gear Meduza that was currently at the top of the best performing and most comfortable to use gaming mice that we have reviewed here at eTeknix. To top a stunning mouse, Razer have also taken their software to the next level by introducing cloud based settings storage, so you no longer need to store them on the mouse itself, or on a pen drive etc. It’s not just for the one mouse either, Synapse 2.0 covers the majority of Razer’s mice, so you can just switch between them at a touch of a button.

The Razer Naga Hex isn’t all good however, the mouse is fairly restricted in terms of physical customisation; there is no weight management, something that gamers look for so they can adjust the mouse to suit their playing style, nor is their the option to customise the shape like we have seen on the RAT mice by Cyborg. The Hex is also limited to gamers who have the claw grip, as the mouse does not follow the basic shape that we see in most gaming mice, this on the other hand, isn’t exactly a negative point, more a restriction to the amount of gamers that can use, not to mention it’s designed specifically for right-handed users only.

If you are looking for a comfortable, simplistic in form and high performing mouse, you are right-handed and use the claw grip, then the Razer Naga Hex should be at the top of your wishlist. The Hex has by far surpassed our expectations in both comfort and performance. Whilst the RRP might be consider fairly high at £70, don’t let this shy you away, the Hex is built to last and with such decent performance we won’t be saying goodbye to it anytime soon. It may not be one of the most feature-rich mice we’ve had the chance to review, but we still highly rate it alongside the rest of the top mice we’ve had in, so for these reasons, we are awarding the Hex with the:
