Razer Reveals Late April Fools Joke With Dolce & Gabbana Collaboration?

Today Razer has revealed a collaboration with designer brand Dolce&Gabbana and no this is not a late April Fool’s joke, Razer have genuinely found a way to charge even more for their products by slapping another brand on it alongside their tacky designs.

Razer X Dolce&Gabbana

Dolce&Gabbana is an Italian Luxury fashion brand which like many of the others often caters towards those with more money than taste. This collaboration is quite similar to those ugly sunglasses they revealed several months ago. The collaboration brings in several new Dolce&Gabbana Razer products which come with stylised GOLD accents and Razer gamer aesthetic, it’s like putting a fancy hat on a bin bag filled with dog turds.

Clothing

To start the collection we have what Dolce&Gabbana is known for, clothes. This new collection includes oversized T-shirts, cargo pants and edgy hoodies combining the iconic Razer and Dolce&Gabbana colours. They’re not too bad except for the ugly 90s style RAZER wording, the only downside is they will probably have a pretty terrible price tag and you’ll also have to go outside with a Razer logo on your top, gotta have some guts to do that.

Razer Dolce&Gabbana Barracuda

Razer’s Barracuda headset has also been donned with the Dolce&Gabbana logo with various gold accents. It looks tacky, gold almost never looks good on hardware or accessories, especially in this quantity.

Razer Dolce&Gabbana Enki Pro

Next is the Razer Enki Pro gaming chair which is already a gaming chair so making it worse is quite an achievement. Like the Barracuda, the Enki has been plastered with the Dolce&Gabbana logo with gold accents. To make it even worse there is also a Razer Chroma edition which replaces the gold letterings and mess with RGB and its just disgusting, fortunately, it appears to just be a concept and not something that will be available for purchase.

What Razer & Dolce&Gabbana Had To Say

“Razer is no stranger to pushing boundaries in both gaming and style, as evidenced by our in-house apparel collections and fashion-forward partnerships. We’re excited to collaborate on a new line of apparel and hardware peripherals to the gaming and fashion community,” said Addie Tan, Head of Lifestyle at Razer. “The Dolce&Gabbana|Razer collaboration represents a bold leap into the intertwined future of gaming and fashion. Every piece in this collection is a testament to the unique synergy of technology and design, appealing to the discerning tastes of both gaming enthusiasts and fashion aficionados.”

“Our collaboration with Razer has been an inspiring journey of creativity and innovation,” said Davide Sgherri, Head of New Media at Dolce&Gabbana. “By seamlessly blending gaming’s dynamic energy with Dolce&Gabbana iconic style, we have crafted a collection that transcends traditional fashion boundaries. It’s a remarkable fusion that captures the essence of both worlds, delivering a truly extraordinary suite of products. Tradition and innovation have always been at the heart of our philosophy from the very beginning. This is an exciting new milestone on our journey.”

Where Can I Learn More?

I’m not sure who these products are aimed at, other than chavs, but if it’s you the limited-edition Dolce&Gabbana|Razer collection will be available for purchase during the festive season of late 2023, with only 1,337 units available globally for the hardware products, visit Razer.com for more information.
