Razer Unleashes Lancehead Wireless Gaming Mouse

Razer has just announced the Lancehead, which the company calls the world’s most advanced wireless gaming mouse. It is equipped with Razer’s patent-pending Adaptive Frequency Technology which makes sure that the signal does not drop while playing and everything runs interference free within the 2.4GHz band with the ability to adaptively hop only when necessary. With this technology, Razer claims that the new Lancehead outperforms any current wireless gaming mouse in the market.

The Razer Lancehead is also equipped with a 5G laser sensor that offers native 16,000 DPI with 210 IPS tracking and 50G acceleration. The main switches also utilize only the best which is why Razer has outfitted it with Omron switches rated up to 50 million clicks. Users also have additional buttons for on-the-fly DPI changing even while in the middle of playing a game. Like all current Razer peripherals, it is compatible with Razer Synapse for cloud based driver and firmware updating as well as preset memory recall.

A tournament edition of the Razer Lancehead will also be introduced utilizing an eSports-grade optical sensor with native 16,000 DPI and 450 IPS tracking speed. Both the regular Lancehead and the Lancehead Tournament Edition are part of Razer’s Chroma line of devices equipped with RGB LED capability that the user can adjust with up to 16.8 million color options to choose from and has presets that include game-reactive lighting.

Availability starts towards the end of May and beginning of June worldwide for the regular Razer Lancehead and it will retail for US$139.99 / €149.99. While the Tournament edition is actually more affordable at only US$79.99 / €89.99 and will be available now via Razerzone.com and worldwide on April/May 2017.
