Razer’s Blade gaming notebook is a controversial product. Mainly because of its stupidly high $2,499 price tag. Yet the product has been very successful so far. Razer’s latest revision of the Blade gaming notebook sees it get equipped with Ivy Bridge Mobile and Kepler mobile to move the product forward into its second generation.
The new Razer Blade was available for pre-order yesterday and will begin shipping to North American customers this month.
“The all-new Razer Blade is built to defy all conventions; it is has extreme levels of performance and yet amazingly thin,” said Min-Liang Tan, Razer Chief Executive Officer. “The Blade features the next generation of Intel quad core processors combined with powerful NVIDIA GTX class graphics chips and the fastest RAM available, resulting in a machine that is insanely powerful.”
The new revisions see the Razer Blade get the 28nm GTX 660M graphics card, an Ivy Bridge Mobile Core i7 at 2.8GHz and a complete redesigned thermal solution. Aprt from the new quieter fans, optimized speakers, thinner 0.88 inch chassis and three USB 3.0 ports the rest of the features are more or less the same.
