Gaming product maker Razer is announcing an update to their classic Vespula mouse mat, called the Vespula V2. It is the successor of the company’s longest running product, now featuring a new design fit for the next generation of gamers. The Vespula V2 has two sides: one for control and one for speed. It is completely up to the user to choose which one they prefer. It is just a matter of flipping the mat over to change it.
The new version also updates the wrist rest, now offering full coverage to the length of the pad. It is memory foam as well, so it provides sufficient resistance and can remember the user’s usual position. Without the wrist rest, the mousepad measures 320mm long by 228mm wide and is 3mm tall. The wrist rest is 22mm tall and adds 44mm to the width.
The surface itself is optimized for all Razer sensor types. One side uses dense cloth for precise movement, while the other has a finer micro-textured finish so that the mouse can skate with less resistance. On the backside is silicone rubber base, ensuring that the pad stays on the desk. Even when the action becomes too intense.
The Razer Vespula V2 is available via the Razer Store for £39.99 in the UK, €49.99 in the EU and $39.99 in the US. It will be available worldwide by Q1 2018.
