Razer Viper 8K Ambidextrous eSports Gaming Mouse Review

Packaging & Accessories

The box is nice and compact and not much bigger than the mouse, so it’s good to see they’re not wasting too many materials. There’s a clear photo on the front and details of the main features; hyperpolling, focus+, and Chroma support.

Around the back, there’s another nice photo of the mouse, showing off the overall shape and size of the mouse. There’s also a bunch of tags, showing you a lot of the new features, such as the new switches, weight, cable, etc.

The box uses a cool folding design that provides a good layer of protection. Furthermore, it seems it has reduced the amount of glue or tape needed to hold the box together.

There’s a durable inner box, with the Razer logo in the middle.

Open it up, and you’ll find the mouse comes in a protective bag, with an air gap on the right, and another component at the top to house the USB cable.

There’s also a small bundle of documentation, with all the usual bits and bobs.

The cable is their new lightweight design, which comes with a gorgeous paracord braiding that’s absolutely gorgeous to look at. It feels great too, but also, the design shouldn’t get snagged up and drag on the edges of your desk. It’s a more firm cable design too, flexible but not completely floppy like some paracord cables.

It has a small USB header with a dust cap; the small header design is well suited to laptops too.
