I’m super hyped for the release of Red Dead Redemption 2, it really can’t come soon enough! However, while we did have a vague release window already, it looks like UK retailer Base may have let the cat out of the bag. Their leaked listing pegs the game for release on September 26th 2017.
While we take all leaks like this with a pinch of salt, the math adds up nicely here. The game was already expected to release in Fall 2017, which matches up nicely, and the 26th is a Tuesday, which is the day games a typically released on, and it’s just about within the right window for the game to drum up sales in time for the Christmas sales hype too.
Thisgengaming double checked Base to see if this was a placeholder date, but it seems the retailer generally lists with a default December 31st 2017 on any games that don’t have a proper release date, adding further weight to the new information.
Either way, we’re sure we’ll be seeing the game this year short of a major development screw up and delay.
Are you looking forward to playing the new Red Dead Redemption? Personally, I can’t wait to see it on PC, and if the GTA V release schedule is a guideline, it’ll be another year, but it’ll be worth the extra wait!
