Rockstar Games may finally bring its critically acclaimed Wild West epic, Red Dead Redemption, to PC, 14 years after its initial release. This long-awaited development was seemingly confirmed by a PlayStation Store listing, which briefly described the game as available “now on PC for the first time ever.”

The updated description, which has since been removed, stated: “Red Dead Redemption features all of the 2023 console version upgrades plus PC-specific enhancements including support for increased resolution and frame rates, multiple displays, and other accessories, plus spatial surround sound.” This suggests that the PC version will come with significant technical improvements over its console counterparts.
Despite the swift retraction of the listing, the mention of a PC release has sparked widespread excitement among fans. This update adds fuel to long-standing speculation about a PC port, which began when similar descriptions were datamined earlier this year.
While Rockstar Games has yet to issue an official statement, the PlayStation Store’s inadvertent listing appears to be as close to a confirmation as it gets. Currently, Red Dead Redemption is available on PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, and Xbox One, with the potential PC release marking a significant expansion of the game’s reach.
Given the recent leak, many expect Rockstar to formally announce the PC version soon. The updated listing’s content closely mirrors previous speculation, making the game’s PC debut more plausible than ever.
