Elon Musk’s Boring Company is better known for the tunneling technology is utilizes. What you perhaps might have overlooked, however, is its development of a flamethrower.
Yes, the founder of Tesla apparently has a flamethrower and it can be all yours for the low-low price of $600.
Well, it’s hard to tell to be honest. Initially, Elon Musk hinted that the product would be available once he had sold 50,000 hats for his Boring Company.
With the hats now sold, he recently tweeted that next on the list was the flamethrower.
The Tesla founder is known to be a bit of a fan of Spaceballs. A Mel Brooks parody film which also featured a similar joke weapon. A certain webpage, however, has had Reddit banding together to try and crack the password in place.
On the official boring website, you will find a link to the aforementioned weapon. This page is, however, currently blocked by a password. One which has, for the moment, eluded all of Reddit’s best efforts to crack.
You can visit the website yourself here and have a try if you like.
To save you some time, I have already attempted the following myself: Password1, Password123, ElonMusk, Boring, VeryBoring, and toohottohandle.
Given that each response with answered with ‘Please try again.’ I also tried ‘again’ just to see if that would work. It didn’t.
I like the idea that it might be real, but then I doubt he would legally be able to sell a working flamethrower. Failing which, even if he could, for $600 I daresay people would be clamoring to get their own.
What do you think? An elaborate publicity stunt? Would you like an Elon Musk Flamethrower? Would you pay $600 for one? – Let us know in the comments.
