Reddit’s r/place Is Back Again, Right At Reddit’s Most Peaceful Time

Reddit’s r/place community canvas is back again this year in light of the most peaceful time in the entire history and nobody is unhappy with the current state of affairs.
r/place Is Back
Firstly, what is r/place? The basic idea is that there is an empty canvas where users can place a single pixel every 5 minutes usually leading to a tasteful mess of flags and memes often leading to wars over sections of the canvas. The canvas has previously only been done twice with the first one back in 2017 and the previous last year making this year the third r/place canvas which is already dominated by flags and very nice and friendly messages to spez aka Reddit CEO Steve Huffman.
The team behind r/place decided that finding the right time for another event was difficult but decided that right now when the community is at its most ‘passionate’ was the right time. Naturally, this decision has led to the usual spam of country flags as well as a lot of “F*CK SPEZ” messages plastered about the canvas with the German flag also featuring “U/SPEZ IST EIN HURENSOHN”, I’ll let you translate that one.
Place is a very interesting event and it would be great if we could sneak the eTeknix logo in there somewhere, though I doubt that will happen with how vigilant some of these communities are.
