Installation
The universal backplate is easy enough to work with and simply sits on the back of the motherboard. You then slot through the four long retention screws.
This is the tricky part, as you need to have the plastic spacers over the long screws, then bolt down the square bracket. This would be very hard if the motherboard was in a chassis as you need access to both sides of the motherboard to do it. I found it easier sitting down and having the motherboard on my legs; not ideal, but I’ve dealt with worse.
The clearance between the two cooling towers is handy, as you can reach the fixing screws easily; just be sure to have a long shaft screwdriver as it’ll make the whole thing a lot easier to complete.
The fans were easy enough to install using the retention clips and I love the bright yellow, even if it doesn’t match the mostly blue features of my motherboard.
Ram clearance certainly isn’t an issue and you could easily have a second fan here with low-profile modules.
