Price
Unfortunately, I hit a brick wall when trying to find accurate pricing information for this product, let alone anywhere that had it in stock! Prices from various sources were quoting a little over $60 US, but as far as UK pricing goes, not even Reeven have a UK section in their “where to buy” tab. Perhaps you’ll have more luck if you should go in search for one.
Overview
I’m a little disappointed with this cooler, and to be honest, it’s rare these days that I say this about a product. The performance just wasn’t as good as I was expecting from this product. Let’s take a look at the good points. The build quality is great, the whole thing feels robust, it looks great and the fans appear to be of a good quality. Looking at the specs and the quality of the product, I was expecting cooler and quieter performance overall.
You win some you lose some, but one way or another, you simply cannot win them all and in my opinion, this cooler misses the market, albeit only slightly. The final nail in the coffin though is the near-zero availability and when it comes down to it, I’m only willing to look so hard for a fairly average cooler before I feel the need to give up and move on.
If Reeven can get the cooling performance improved a little, most likely by adding quieter and better performing fans, as well as get stock available for consumers, then sure, they’ve got a good product. Hopefully we’ll see these issues addressed with one of their upcoming products.
Pros
Cons
“The Reeven Okeanos is a nice looking cooler and I can see some people being attracted to it if it matches their systems colour scheme. If you’re running at stock clocks, it packs enough performance to keep your system happy, but it’s not idea for overclocking.”
