Resident Evil 2, 3, and 7 Getting PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC Visual Upgrade

I absolutely love the old Resident Evil games, if anything, I think they benefitted from the graphics of the era really well too, making them feel gritty. However, I must admit, the modern remakes are truly stunning and I’ve had a lot of fun with those too. Resident Evil 7 didn’t really hit the mark for me personally, it’s a bit too different from the ones I love. However, if you’re eager to play Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 3 Remake or Resident Evil 7, then you may want to hold off just a little longer!

Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 2 Remake, Resident Evil 3 Remake and Resident Evil 7 will all receive visual and graphical enhancements fairly soon! While they’ve not revealed what sort of upgrades and updates we can expect, I am eager to check them out. I mean, it’s not like the remakes are poor to look at already, so any increase in textures, resolution, post-processing, who knows, perhaps even some ray tracing, would most certainly be welcomed. Resident Evil Village does have ray-traced shadows already, so it’s not like they haven’t got this stuff working in-engine already, and I suspect AMD FSR would be added in too for good measure.
Resident Evil 2, 3, and 7 are coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S with visual enhancements later this year! 🌿

The update will launch later this year, albeit, they’ve not given us a date just yet. However, it’ll be coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, and they quickly followed up with another tweet that PC gamers will get the update too. The update will come at no additional cost on any platform.
Upgrade patches for all three games will also be released for PC players at no additional cost when the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions launch!
