Resident Evil 4 Voice Actor Disable Instagram Account Over Hate Messages

The Voice Actor, Lily Gao, who voices Ada Wong on Resident Evil 4 has deactivated her Instagram account following hate messages after her portrayal of Ada Wong.
Hate Messages
Lily Gao is the voice actor behind Ada Wong in the recently released Resident Evil 4 remake and unfortunately, she was met with the toxic side of the gaming industry as she has been forced to delete her Instagram account after receiving countless hate comments regarding her voice acting. Courtesy of EuroGamer’s article here are some of the comments; “I feel like I just wasted my money buying the deluxe edition to get this VA to dub Ada.” another said “it sounded super stiff and there was nothing seductive about it, I hope they don’t hire you as Ada’s voice actor for another game.” Luckily not everyone was critical and many did give good praise.
Why are Gamers Like This?
Not enjoying the voice acting is fine but to actively go and harass the voice actress is just plain degeneracy, Some of these people need to touch grass and get out of the house for once. “There was nothing seductive about it” I imagine that’s the same people who complained about the outfits being changed and they can’t sexualise the characters anymore. Luckily these muppets are a minority and most of us don’t engage in this behaviour, at least I hope not.
This isn’t the first time similar things have happened as the Cyberpunk Dev team received death threats for delays and the voice actor for Abby in the Last of Us 2 also received death threats for the role. If you ever think of doing this, step back from the keyboard for a while.
