The head of the UK retail chain “John Lewis”” in the United Kingdom believes that the Xbox One will outsell the PlayStation 4 during this year’s winter holiday season. At GamesIndustry.biz he was quoted as saying:
“We are stocking both the PS4 and the Xbox One but if we were to back one, we are thinking that Xbox One will appeal a bit more to our customers in terms of the experience it creates.”
Of course that assumption is based off a combination of his own personal opinion and pre-order figures he has had access too. The belief is also drawing on the fact that in the UK Xbox Live is slightly more popular than Sony’s PSN, and despite the Xbox One being a more expensive console it is still expected to outsell the PS4 due to brand loyalty.
Whatever happens in the UK, on a global scale both Sony and Microsoft will end up with similar sales over this year due to both of them suffering from supply constraints.
